The Parque de María Luisa is one of the most beautiful public parks in Spain. Infanta Luisa Fernanda, Duchess of Montpensier, donated the gardens to the city of Seville in 1893. In 1911, Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier, a French landscape gardener, rearranged the park into its present form by creating a garden of trees, hedges and fountains. photo: Sevilla – Parque de María Luisa – «Monument dedicated to Bécquer» © Robert Bovington
